Overview
Scheduling happens after you accept your final quote and sign the agreement. Your installer proposes available dates (based on crew availability, permits, and inspections). You’ll confirm the appointment, and you’ll receive an email confirmation when the date is set.
Before scheduling: preliminary site visit (sometimes)
- Most projects do not require a site visit.
- If details are unclear or the project is complex, the installer may request a preliminary site visit to finalize the quote.
- The installer will let you know if this is needed and will arrange the visit. Afterward, they’ll issue (or update) your final quote.
Steps to get scheduled
- Receive your final quote (after photo/manual review).
- Accept the quote and sign the agreement.
- Installer proposes dates and coordinates with you.
- Confirm the appointment with the installer.
- The installer enters the date in our system—you’ll get an email confirming your scheduled installation.
Typical timeline: installs are often scheduled within 7–14 days of accepting your quote. It can be sooner, and in rare cases longer (e.g., permit timing, weather, workload).
Rescheduling
- If you need to change your date, contact your installer directly.
- They’ll offer the next available options and we’ll send an updated confirmation email once rescheduled.
Want a different installer because the date is far out?
- Switching can complicate and delay your project (we must locate another vetted installer willing to do the same scope at the same price).
- We may or may not have another ready in your area.
- When possible, it’s usually faster to stay with the assigned installer and work together on a suitable date.
While you wait
- Consider using public charging temporarily if your appointment date is a few weeks out.
